ABOUT
The Artist's Guest House is a short-term vacation rental and art studio located in the heart of Charlevoix the Beautiful in Northern Michigan.
The AGH is a 'tiny home' with a spacious main room and a wood-burning fireplace, a deep soaking Japanese-style bathtub (and shower),
full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker;
High-speed Internet, central A/C, smart TV, DVDs, stereo, CDs, shortwave radio;
dog-friendly, fenced-in back yard with a fire pit.
Off-street parking with a turn-around for a boat or RV,
walking distance to downtown and the beaches of Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix.
We encourage all guests to make some art during their stay.
We supply the materials and, hopefully, the inspiration.
Guests have left drawings, paintings, outdoor sculptures, prints, and writings, like:

Inspired by Corky Fisher
Sourdough, sesame, semolina bread, six foot rocket ship flashing amber lights for takeoff to the moon’s eye. Papa George Melies, Jules Verne … Tin Man in the front window sending blessing from his new heart, robots lit from inside, Ray Bradbury, Vivaldi’s vivacity, moody Bach, patent drawings of the uplifting Bleumette bra, a 1908 egg and other beater, stately litho and etching presses, grand pianos without keys, lilacs, peonies, iris inside and out, smoked whitefish, cirrus brushstrokes in Sagan’s pale blue dot writ large, rippling hum of the gods answering bird tweets, draw bridge clang for the Beaver Island Ferry, sailboats contrailing, clam chowder and Chardonnay, Round Lake’s tentative flow into Lake Michigan, mosaic mandalas, backlit blowfish bath, hammered tin starlight above the bead. Easel for flyby strokes of genius, French ground coffee, chocolate chip cookies the size of hibiscus, unanticipated naps, afternoon novel reading, days of seamless serendipity.
We're open from mid-May to mid-November.
